| Reverse description | Apollo Grynios standing facing, head turned to the right, clad in a long chiton and himation, holding a patera in his extended right hand and a laurel branch in his left. At his feet to the right stands an oinochoe (jug) and a round object, while to the left a monogram (ΔΥΙ) appears. The entire central type is enclosed within a broad wreath of laurel, with the civic ethnic ΜΥΡΙΝΑΙΩΝ inscribed vertically along the left interior of the wreath. The composition is typical of the autonomous coinage of Myrina in Aeolis, reflecting the city's devotion to Apollo Grynios. |
