Forepart of a horse rearing to the left, rendered in bold relief with finely detailed musculature. Above the horse, a winged Nike flies to the left, extending a wreath to crown the animal. In the left field, a single barley grain is depicted as a subsidiary symbol. The composition reflects strong Sicilian Greek artistic influence adapted to Punic iconographic conventions. |

| Reversbeschreibung |
A tall, spreading date palm tree rendered frontally, its fronds fanning outward in elegant, naturalistic detail filling the coin's field. Two clusters of dates hang prominently on either side of the trunk amid the lower fronds, a symbol of Phoenician identity and the fertility of North Africa. Below the palm, flanking the base of the trunk, the Phoenician inscription is divided into two groups, reading 'QRT HDŠT' (meaning 'New City', i.e. Carthage). The design is bold and deeply struck, characteristic of early Siculo-Punic coinage. |
