| Beschrijving keerzijde | Tigranes II depicted as an equestrian warrior, mounted on a horse charging to the left at full gallop, his right arm extended and poised to hurl a spear. The dynamic composition conveys martial prowess and royal authority in the Hellenistic tradition. A Greek legend surrounds the scene, identifying the ruler by his royal titulature. Traces of the inscription are partially legible along the lower periphery of the flan, which is irregular in shape due to the hand-struck technique. |
