| Obverse description | Facing gorgoneion (Medusa head) depicted en face at centre, framed by a broad wreath of acanthus or serpentine coils radiating outward in all directions, filling the field. The face displays stylised features with large staring eyes, a broad nose, and an open mouth, rendered in the bold, expressive Hellenistic manner typical of Pontic civic bronzes. No legend appears on the obverse. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-struck production. |
