| Beschrijving voorzijde | A Greek cross with flared terminals, its arms and center heavily adorned with rows of pellets, occupying most of the coin's field. The cross divides the field into four quadrants, each containing portions of the Christogram legend. The overall design is bold and schematic, characteristic of the debased anonymous bronze coinage of the Empire of Nicaea. The Christological monogram IC XC is distributed one letter per quadrant, flanking the cross in Greek majuscule characters. |

The motif is characteristic of the anonymous tetartera attributed to Magnesia, serving as a mint or denominational mark rather than a full inscription. |
