| Opis rewersu | Crowned oval shield bearing the royal arms of France (three fleurs-de-lis) occupies the centre of the reverse, flanked on either side by two crowned Gothic H monograms, the royal cipher of Henri II. The crown surmounting the shield is rendered in detail with fleurs-de-lis and arches. A mint-mark letter appears in the base point of the shield, identifying the workshop of issue. The overall composition is symmetrical and heraldic in character, consistent with Valois-era French regal coinage. |
