Beschrijving voorzijde Central pellet within a small raised circle, surrounded by a radiating ring of beaded or pellet ornaments forming an inner annulus. Two concentric bands of pseudo-Kufic legend fill the surrounding field, imitating Fatimid Arabic script but rendered in a non-legible, decorative manner. The overall design reflects the strong Arabo-Norman monetary influence prevalent in southern Italy during the late 10th and early 11th centuries. The flan is characteristic of the period, being irregularly shaped with a slightly uneven edge typical of hammered gold coinage.
Schrift voorzijde Arabic (Kufic, pseudo)

Beschrijving keerzijde Central pellet within a raised circle at the center of the flan, encircled by a ring of radiating pellet-and-stroke ornaments forming an inner annulus closely imitating Fatimid prototype designs. Two outer concentric bands carry pseudo-Kufic inscriptions, decoratively copying Ismaili Fatimid legends without faithful textual accuracy. The reverse composition mirrors the obverse, consistent with the anonymous tarì series issued under Guaimar III of Salerno. The hammered gold flan exhibits the characteristic irregular outline and variable thickness of southern Italian Islamic-style coinage of the period.
