| Obverse description | Hammered silver flan with bold Arabic calligraphy filling the entire field in multiple registers. The legend reads 'Al-Mu'ayyad bi-ta'yid al-Rahman' (He who is aided by the support of the Merciful), a royal epithet of Muzaffar Shah II, rendered in a characteristic Gujarati Naskh script. The inscription is disposed across two or three horizontal lines, with the letters executed in high relief against a flat field. The coin's irregular flan shows typical characteristics of hand-struck medieval Indian coinage, with the legend extending close to the plain rim. |
