Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription arranged horizontally across the flan in Naskh script, typical of Timurid coinage. The legend references the ruling authority, naming the co-issuing princes Muhammad Jahangir and Khalil-Sultan. The inscription is bold and deeply struck in relief against a plain, undecorated field. The irregular flan edges are characteristic of the hammered technique employed at the Samarqand mint during this period.
