A scepter or baton may be held in the right hand. Below the bust, a small escutcheon bears the Vasa dynastic device. Beschrijving keerzijde Large, elaborate crowned coat of arms of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth quartered with the arms of Poland (white eagle), Lithuania (Pahonia), Sweden (three crowns and lion), and the Vasa sheaf, surmounted by a royal crown. The shield is set within a decorative cartouche. The surrounding Latin legend, divided by the mintmaster's marks B-S flanking the base of the shield, reads: SAM LIV NEC NO SV GOT VAN O HÆ REX C-DC, representing the king's full royal titulature over Samogitia, Livonia, Sweden, Goths, Vandals, and Hereditary claimant. The initials C-DC refer to the mint administrator Claudius de Canotti, and B-S denote the mintmaster at Kraków.
