The effigy is rendered in high relief with exceptional detail in the hair and drapery. The circular Latin legend runs along the full periphery of the field, divided by the portrait, reading D.G. FRID. AUGUST. REX PO. DUX SAX. I.C.M.A. & W., attributing his titles as King of Poland and Duke of Saxony. The rim is defined by a fine inner beaded border. |
