At the center, the crowned monogram or royal cypher of Jan II Kazimierz Waza is depicted within the field, executed in the crude hammered style typical of mid-17th-century Lithuanian copper coinage. The legends and devices show characteristic weaknesses in strike consistent with the Brześć (Brest) mint's output during this period. |
