Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in bold, flowing thuluth script, presenting the sultan's titles and honorifics arranged in horizontal registers across the flan. The inscription is densely struck with characteristic Ottoman calligraphic artistry, the letters interlocking and overlapping in the manner typical of hammered Ottoman gold sultani coinage. The field is bounded by a continuous outer border of raised pellets following the irregular circumference of the coin. Separator dots are visible between lines of inscription within the central legend.
