| Beschrijving voorzijde | Hammered gold flan with an irregular, slightly lobate border formed by a continuous ring of raised pellets. The field is entirely occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in bold, deeply struck Thuluth script arranged in four principal registers, reading the royal titulature of Sultan Ahmed I. A horizontal line divides the lower register, beneath which the mint name Misr (Cairo) and the regnal year 1012 AH appear in a dedicated exergual band. Scattered pellet stops punctuate the inscription throughout the field. |
