The entire field is filled with a four-line Arabic legend in bold Thuluth script proclaiming the sultan's universal sovereignty. The inscription is well-centered for a hammered issue, with scattered pellet stops dividing the titulature. The irregular planchet edge is characteristic of the hand-struck production technique employed at the Misr mint. |
