The central inscription reads the Shahada testimony in its standard dirham form. A marginal legend in smaller script runs between the inner and outer borders, citing the mint name San'a and the regnal date. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, typical of hand-struck Yemeni fractional dirhams of this period.
