Obverse description Central field contains four horizontal lines of Arabic Kufic script enclosed within a double linear circle, with a dentilated outer border. The central inscription reads the Shahada testimony in its standard dirham form. A marginal legend in smaller script runs between the inner and outer borders, citing the mint name San'a and the regnal date. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, typical of hand-struck Yemeni fractional dirhams of this period. The strike is moderately well centered, with the legends clearly legible despite minor weakness at the periphery.
