背面描述	A fasces-like bundle of seven bound arrows, the symbol of the Union of Utrecht and emblem of the Dutch Republic, occupies the central field, its shafts fanning upward and its binding clearly rendered. The denomination numeral '1' appears to the left of the bundle and the initial 'S' (for Stuiver) to the right, flanking the central device. The entire motif is encircled by a wreath of laurel or olive branches tied at the base, itself bordered by a milled outer rim. This characteristic arrow-bundle design gives the coin its popular name 'Bezemstuiver' (broom stuiver) among collectors.
