| Opis rewersu | A long cross pattée extending to the coin's rim divides the reverse field into four quadrants, each containing three pellets arranged in a triangular formation. The cross arms are boldly struck and slightly flared at their terminals in characteristic pattée fashion. A beaded inner circle frames the central cross design, and the two-word mint legend is distributed across the four outer quadrants between the arms of the cross. The overall composition is modelled directly on the English long-cross sterling, here adapted for the comital mint of Mons. |
