Obverse description Crowned king (Stefan Uroš II Milutin) enthroned in full frontal view, seated upon a low-backed throne rendered as three horizontal dotted lines. The royal effigy is depicted in regal regalia, holding in his right hand a lily-tipped scepter and in his left a globus cruciger surmounted by a double cross. The legend encircles the field in Latin characters, reading MONETA REGIS VROSI, identifying the issuer as King Uroš.

Reverse description Christ Pantocrator enthroned in full frontal view, depicted in the Byzantine hieratic tradition. He raises his left hand in a gesture of blessing while his right hand holds the Book of Gospels, its cover adorned with five gemstones rendered as pellets. The Greek Christogram IC XC (Iesous Christos) is inscribed in the field to either side of the figure, identifying the divine subject according to Byzantine iconographic convention.
