| Obverse description | Abstract Celtic design featuring a central arrangement of back-to-back crescents rendered in relief, surrounded by a symmetrical star pattern composed of ring-pellet ornaments and stylized wreath motifs radiating from the centre. Concealed anthropomorphic faces are incorporated within the angles of the design, a hallmark of Late Iron Age British Celtic artistic tradition. The overall composition is characteristic of the Trinovantian M type, displaying the highly decorative and non-representational obverse style common to gold staters of the Catuvellauni. The field is irregular in shape, consistent with the flan preparation methods of the period. |

| Reverse description | A highly Celticized horse prances to the right, rendered with the stylized, segmented bodywork typical of Late Iron Age British coinage. Above the horse, a bucranium (bull's head) motif is visible, along with the retrograde or abbreviated Latin legend TASCIAV, identifying the issuing ruler Tasciovanus. Pellets and other decorative fill elements occupy the field around the horse. The composition reflects the gradual adoption of classical iconographic influences filtered through a distinctly Celtic artistic vocabulary. |
