| Reverse description | A highly Celticized horse prances to the right, rendered with the stylized, segmented bodywork typical of Late Iron Age British coinage. Above the horse, a bucranium (bull's head) motif is visible, along with the retrograde or abbreviated Latin legend TASCIAV, identifying the issuing ruler Tasciovanus. Pellets and other decorative fill elements occupy the field around the horse. The composition reflects the gradual adoption of classical iconographic influences filtered through a distinctly Celtic artistic vocabulary. |
