Beschrijving voorzijde Highly abstract, uninscribed die derived from the Macedonian stater prototype, featuring a central pelleted cross composed of raised pellets arranged in a cruciform pattern within a plain field. The design is characteristic of the Iron Age Celtic tradition, in which the original laureate head of Apollo has been progressively stylised into a series of geometric pellet groupings. The flan is irregularly shaped and slightly convex, with a broadly flat field typical of hand-struck Celtic coinage.

Beschrijving keerzijde A stylised horse prancing to the right, rendered in the characteristic schematic Celtic manner with disjointed limbs and a pellet-decorated body. Above the horse's back appears a triple-pellet grouping accompanied by a crown-like or branch motif, while below the horse an eight-spoked wheel is prominently placed in the lower field. The composition is uninscribed, with the various ancillary symbols — pellets, wheel, and crown motif — distributed dynamically around the horse in the open field, as is typical of Icenian gold stater coinage of the late first century BC to early first century AD.
