Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a crested Attic helmet decorated in relief with the figure of Skylla, depicted as a female torso terminating in a fish tail, hurling a stone with her raised right arm. The portrait is rendered in fine high relief characteristic of Thourian coinage of the late Classical period, with detailed engraving of the helmet cheek-guards and crest support.
