The effigy displays a diadem and visible drapery at the shoulder, with a sceptre or short staff held before the bust. The circular Greek legend ΒΑϹΙΛΕΩϹ ΡΗϹΚΟΥΠΟΡΙΔΟϹ (of King Rhescuporis) runs around the periphery of the field, partially visible amid the coin's characteristic irregular flan.
