| Obverse description | Strongly convex bowl-shaped obverse, characteristic of the Regenbogenschüsselchen ('rainbow cup') series, with a deeply dished field. The surface is plain and undecorated, bounded by the irregular raised rim typical of Celtic hammered gold staters of this type. The pronounced concavo-convex flan exhibits the characteristic cracked and irregular surface resulting from the striking technique employed by Vindelician Celtic craftsmen. |
