| Description de l’avers | Diademed portrait bust of Mithridates VI Eupator facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic royal tradition with idealizing features reminiscent of Alexander the Great. The king's abundant, flowing hair falls in thick, vigorously modeled locks across the crown and nape of the neck, secured by a royal diadem. The effigy displays a youthful, heroic countenance with a strong profile, prominent nose, and slightly parted lips, all executed with high artistic quality characteristic of Pontic royal coinage. The field is plain, with the portrait occupying the majority of the flan in high relief. |

| Description du revers | A stag standing to left in a grazing attitude, with head lowered toward the ground, rendered in fine detail. Above and below the stag appear the royal Greek inscription in two or three lines. To the left of the stag's head, a star rests upon a crescent, a dynastic emblem of the Pontic royal house. To the right of the main device appears a control monogram. The entire composition is enclosed within a circular ivy wreath, a symbol associated with Dionysus and characteristic of Pontic royal gold coinage. |
