| Description de l’avers | Diademed head of the deified Alexander III (the Great) facing right, portrayed with the ram's horn of Ammon curling forward above the ear, a divine attribute associating him with the god Zeus-Ammon. The hair is rendered in fine curling locks swept back from the forehead in the characteristic Hellenistic style. The portrait is executed in high relief with naturalistic modeling typical of the finest Lysimachean coinage, the diadem ties falling behind the neck. No legend appears on the obverse. |

A long spear leans against her left shoulder. The Greek legend BAΣIΛEΩΣ to the right and ΛYΣIMAΧOY to the left frame the central type, with the mint control letters KOI in the exergue, identifying this issue as a posthumous civic striking of Odessos. |
