Obverse description Diademed head of Alexander the Great facing right, his flowing hair rendered in fine curling locks with characteristic Hellenistic vivacity. The ram's horn of Ammon curls prominently above the ear, asserting divine lineage. A diadem is tied across the brow, its ends visible behind the head. The portrait displays the idealised physiognomy associated with posthumous Lysimachean coinage, with finely modelled facial features and a slightly parted lip.

Reverse description Athena Nikephoros seated in three-quarter pose to the left upon a throne, her left arm resting on a large round shield set against her side, while her right hand extends forward presenting a winged Nike. A long diagonal spear rests behind her, extending across the field. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ runs along the outer field, and the magistrate's abbreviation ΖΩΠΥ appears in the exergue. A monogram occupies the inner left field, serving as a mint control mark.
