| Descripción del anverso | Bare, diademed head of the deified Alexander III (the Great) facing right, rendered in the idealized Hellenistic portrait style with flowing, tousled hair swept back from the forehead. The effigy bears the small curling horn of Ammon at the temple, signifying Alexander's divine association with the Egyptian god Zeus-Ammon, as established following his visit to the oracle at Siwa. The portrait displays finely modeled facial features with a prominent brow, strong nose, and slightly parted lips, characteristic of the posthumous coinage struck in Alexander's name by the Diadochi. No legend appears on the obverse field. |
