Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in fine high relief characteristic of the Macedonian royal coinage tradition. The goddess wears a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head, adorned with a prominent crested plume and fitted with a coiled serpent on the bowl, its body sinuously trailing down behind the neck. Strands of hair emerge beneath the helmet's cheek-guards and fall loosely around the neck, framing a graceful, idealized profile with a finely modeled eye, straight nose, and slightly parted lips. The field is plain, with no legend or border inscription on this face.
