| Descrizione del dritto | Head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet adorned with an elaborate coiled serpent on the bowl and a prominent crest sweeping rearward. The goddess's hair falls in fine braided locks beneath the helmet's cheekpieces, framing her idealized facial features rendered in high relief. The workmanship reflects the refined Hellenistic die-cutting tradition associated with the Phoenician mints of Aradus and Byblos, combining vigorous modeling with delicate surface detail. No legend appears on the obverse, the entire field being devoted to the imposing effigy of the deity. The flan is slightly irregular, as is characteristic of hammered gold staters of this series. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Nike (Victory) standing facing left in full figure, her large spread wings rising prominently behind her. She extends her left arm forward to present a laurel wreath, while her right arm is lowered at her side; she is clad in a chiton with finely engraved drapery folds. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs vertically downward along the right field. In the lower left field appears the mint control letter Α, serving as a mint or magistrate symbol. The composition is characteristic of the standard Alexandrine gold stater type struck across the eastern Mediterranean during the late reign of Alexander III. |
