| Obverse description | Head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet adorned with a serpent coil and a richly decorated crest with flowing plumes rendered in fine relief. The goddess is depicted with flowing hair visible beneath the helmet brim, her facial features modeled in the Classical Greek tradition with a sharp, well-defined profile. The neck is rendered with naturalistic musculature, and the field surrounding the effigy is plain, allowing the high-relief portrait to dominate the flan. |

| Reverse description | Nike (Victory) standing facing left, her large spread wings prominently displayed behind her draped figure. In her outstretched left hand she holds a laurel wreath, while a stylus or naval aplustre appears at her feet. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs vertically along the right field, and a monogram control mark appears in the left field. The composition exemplifies the refined Hellenistic die-cutting style associated with the Abydos mint. |
