She holds a wreath extended in her raised right hand and a stylis (naval standard) in her lowered left hand. Beneath her left wing appears a monogram control mark, and beneath her right wing a club — the latter serving as a mint or magistrate symbol specific to the Kition issue. The legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟY runs along the right field. The composition follows the canonical Alexandrine stater reverse type established under Alexander III. |
