| 表面の説明 | Highly stylised and abstracted Celtic rendition of a laureate head, derived ultimately from the Macedonian stater prototype, occupying the entire flan. The design is rendered in bold, deeply struck relief with flowing curvilinear lines representing hair strands and facial features reduced to abstract scrolls and pellets. Characteristic Celtic artistic conventions dominate, with the facial elements dissolved into a series of interlocking arcs and ridges. The irregular flan exhibits the typical broad, slightly convex fabric of British late Iron Age gold coinage. |

The inscription DVBNOVLAVNOS (in variant spelling) appears to the left of the horse. The overall composition retains a dynamic vitality despite its distance from the original Macedonian quadriga prototype, with the charioteer entirely dissolved into decorative elements. |
