Obverse description Baaltars, the principal deity of Tarsus, seated facing in three-quarter view upon a throne, his upper body bare and muscular, draped from the waist in pleated garments. He holds a bunch of grapes in his extended right hand and a long sceptre or staff in his left; an eagle stands to his lower right. A small figure or animal appears beneath the throne. Aramaic inscription to the left of the figure reads B`LTRZ (Baaltars). The entire design is enclosed within a serrated or rope-pattern border.

Reverse description The satrap Datames seated in three-quarter view to the right upon a cushioned throne with ornate legs, wearing a tiara and elaborate draped robes with fringed hem. He extends his right arm forward holding a long sceptre or spear horizontally. A winged solar disc or eagle appears in the upper right field. Aramaic inscription to the left reads TRDMW (Datames). The design is enclosed within a dotted border.
