The Aramaic legend TRDMW appears to the left of the figure, identifying the satrap. A bow is depicted to the right of the figure, and a winged solar disk occupies the upper right field, a motif of Achaemenid royal authority. The composition is rendered in the confident Persian court style characteristic of Cilician satrapal issues struck at Tarsus under Datames. |
