| Obverse description | Bare head of Augustus facing right, rendered in a naturalistic Hellenistic portrait style with finely detailed short hair swept forward across the brow. The effigy is depicted truncated at the neck, set within a raised inner circle bordering the flat field. No legend or inscription appears on the obverse, consistent with the Bosporan royal coinage convention of this period. The portrait closely follows Roman imperial prototypes, displaying the characteristic physiognomy associated with Augustus on contemporary coinage. |
