To the left of the portrait, the monogram BAP (abbreviation of ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΣΠΟΥΡΓΟΥ, 'of King Aspurgus') is prominently placed in the field, composed of interlocking Greek letters within a rectangular ligature.
