She is depicted standing on a prow (aphlaston) of a warship, referencing naval victory, a motif closely associated with Bosporan royal coinage of this period. The Greek legend BAΣIΛEΩΣ AΣANΔPOY runs in two vertical columns flanking the figure, to the right and left respectively, identifying the issuer as King Asander. The regnal year numeral Z (= 7) appears in the lower field, corresponding to regnal year 7 of Asander's reign.
