背面描述	Pegasus, the winged horse, depicted in full flight to the left across the field, with wings dramatically spread upward and all four legs extended in a flying gallop. The musculature and feathering of the wings are rendered with considerable sculptural detail. Below the horse, a koppa symbol (Ϙ) appears in the lower left field, serving as a mint control mark. The ethnic legend ΙΠΠΩΝΙΩΝ is inscribed along the lower portion of the field, identifying the issuing city of Hipponion in Bruttium.
