| Obverse description | Europa seated half-right within the branches of a plane tree, her body rendered in high relief with flowing drapery gathered at the waist. The figure is depicted in a relaxed, contemplative posture, her head turned slightly downward. The stylized trunk and branches of the tree frame the composition on either side, rendered with bold, naturalistic strokes characteristic of Cretan die-cutting of the late Classical period.
