The left figure lunges forward, grasping his opponent's arm and torso, while the right figure braces against him with legs bent and feet planted firmly on a ground line. Each wrestler holds a pair of halteres (jumping weights) in his lowered hands, a distinctive feature of Aspendian wrestling coinage. The scene is enclosed within a plain border of dots, filling the flan with dynamic energy and fine die engraving.
