| Obverse description | Facing left, the draped bust of Persephone rendered in fine Greek style, her hair bound with a wreath of grain leaves symbolizing her chthonic and harvest associations. She wears a triple-pendant earring and a necklace, with loose locks of hair falling about her neck. The portrait is executed with characteristic Lokrian artistic refinement, the facial features delicately modeled in high relief. No inscription appears on the obverse. |

| Reverse description | The hero Ajax strides vigorously to the right, depicted nude save for a crested Corinthian helmet, embodying the martial ideal of the Opuntian Lokrians who venerated him as a local hero.
