| Obverse description | Male figure, identified as Poseidon, depicted nude and standing frontally upon the back of a walking horse shown in left profile; the deity holds a tall trident upright in his left hand and grasps the horse's reins in his right. The composition is rendered in a bold, archaic Cretan style, with the figures occupying nearly the full flan. A border of raised pellets encircles the design. |

| Reverse description | An ornate trident with bifurcated tines is depicted in high relief at center, flanked by two subsidiary tridents or trident-like symbols, all contained within a recessed incuse square of roughly quadripartite division. Partial Greek lettering, likely the ethnic abbreviation of the issuing city ΡΑΥΚΙΩΝ, appears distributed within the compartments of the incuse. The style is characteristic of early Cretan coinage with deeply cut incuse reverse types. |
