| Obverse description | Finely rendered head of the nymph Terina facing left, her hair elaborately dressed and secured with a sphendone, with loose wavy locks falling behind the neck in the refined South Italian style. The facial features are rendered with exceptional naturalism characteristic of the finest Magna Graecian die-cutters of the late fifth century BC. The ethnic legend TEPINAION arcs gracefully around the field to the left of the portrait. The control letter Π appears in the field behind the neck, serving as a die-identification mark. |

| Reverse description | Nike, the winged goddess of victory, rendered in three-quarter view and seated left upon a cippus (funerary pillar), clad in a finely pleated chiton and himation draped over her lower body. Her extended right hand holds a wreath upon which a small bird perches with wings spread, while her left hand rests upon the surface of the cippus. The composition is executed with remarkable sculptural depth and fluid drapery, reflecting the high artistic standards of Terina's coinage. The control letter Π appears in the lower right field. |
