| Obverse description | Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed flowing hair and a full curling beard characteristic of the Tarentine die-engraver's mature style. The portrait displays exceptional sculptural quality, with deeply modelled facial features and richly textured locks cascading behind the neck. A small monogram or control mark appears in the lower left field. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, consistent with South Italian Greek hammered coinage of the early third century BC. |

| Reverse description | An eagle with spread wings stands in three-quarter profile to the left, perched upon a thunderbolt rendered in detail with zigzag terminals. The eagle's head is turned to the right, its plumage finely engraved with individual feathers clearly delineated across the wings and body. To the right of the eagle, in the field, appears the abbreviated ethnic inscription referencing Apollo. The composition is bold and fills the flan effectively, consistent with Tarentine civic coinage struck under Pyrrhic-era influences. |
