Leukai was a minor Akarnanian polis whose independent coinage output was limited and short-lived, likely curtailed by the increasing political consolidation of the Akarnanian League during the first half of the fourth century. BCD Akarnania 186 is among the few attributed specimens that allow confident assignment to this otherwise sparsely documented mint.
