背面描述	Helmeted head of Athena facing left, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head with the cheek-guards raised, revealing the goddess's facial features in fine relief. Flowing locks of hair emerge from beneath the helmet and curl around the neck and cheek. The legend ΛOKPΩN, identifying the issuing city of the Lokrians, is inscribed in Greek characters around the upper and left field. The portraiture reflects the refined artistic style of Magna Graecia coinage of the mid-fourth to early third century BC.
