| Reverse description | Incuse square divided horizontally by a raised bar into two registers, each bearing part of the ethnic legend of Kamiros in archaic Greek retrograde or boustrophedon arrangement. The upper register displays KAMI and the lower PEON, the lettering incuse and boldly cut in the early archaic epichoric script of Rhodes. The incuse punch is square with slightly irregular borders, typical of the transitional technique employed in western Rhodian coinage of the early fifth century BC. |
